Der THOMANERCHOR Leipzig is a municipal institution and has long-standing partnerships with various institutions. Of course, special attention is paid to the regular motets, which are performed in close cooperation with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, the St. Thomas organist and the pastors of St. Thomas Church.

Cooperation with the Leipzig Bach Archive and further education institutions such as the “Johann Sebastian Bach” Leipzig Music School and the “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig University of Music and Drama is also a great asset and a matter of course.
The cooperation with Prof. Dr. med. Michael Fuchs of the Phoniatrics and Audiology Section at Leipzig University Hospital is also an important component for the choir’s work.

For its successful work, the THOMANERCHOR Leipzig, whose basic equipment and costs are borne by the City of Leipzig, needs the support of committed funding institutions and private individuals.

The choir cooperates with the Leipzig primary schools Anna-Magdalena-Bach and Grundschule forum thomanum to train and prepare the next generation of Thomaners for their time in the Thomanerchor.
